Pineapple

The pineapple, whose scientific name is Ananas comosus, is a species of xerophytic plant native to South America, more specifically Paraguay, north-eastern Argentina and southern Brazil. It is best known for its edible fruit, which is actually a compound fruit. This exotic fruit is very rich in health benefits, thanks in particular to its fibre, which fights cancer, aids digestion and detoxifies the body to eliminate excess fluid.
